We were young parents with three beautiful children when Kodak asked me to be a photographic "enrichment lecturer" on a cruise ship that would spend 15 days traveling from the Caribbean through the Panama Canal, and up the coast of Mexico. During our stop in Puerto Vallarta, I took this picture of my wife by the iconic arches. It is still one of my favorite pictures of her. Her summer dress, the wispy clouds, the gentle light, the absence of other people - I feel like I can still step into the scene and relive a wonderful memory.
